In a digital and data-heavy world, producers can find it difficult to isolate meaningful information and translate it into profitable decision-making. It’s a challenge that Co-Founder and CEO of Bitwise Agronomy Fiona Turner, experienced at her own vineyard, ‘Jinglers Creek’ in Tasmania and something she set about to change. Using expertise in technology development and artificial intelligence (AI), Fiona helps growers capture data that accurately estimates horticultural crop yield, enabling better management.

Over two days, 125+ change makers and thought leaders in agrifood technology from eight nations will guide 1,600 attendees through the trends, challenges, and opportunities that will shape the future of food and agriculture.

Dr Nina Welti, an impact area lead for CSIRO and AgriFutures evoke^AG. 2023 speaker, is beaming with palpable optimism. We can all change the world, she believes, and she’s made that her work’s mission – by solving problems to create a more sustainable food system.

US space tech scaleup, Planet Labs’ fleet of approximately 200 mini satellites scan the Earth every day to provide daily high-resolution satellite imagery, and it’s arming landholders with the data to make more informed decisions. Farmer-owned co-operative, Organic Valley is reaping the rewards since teaming up with Planet Labs to develop a pasture mapping tool, that’s helped dairy farmers increase pasture utilisation by 20 per cent.

‘Nature tech’ is gathering pace, offering adaptive soil microbial solutions that help scale up the planet’s ability to heal itself, and improve food security. Ben Barlow, Managing Director of New Edge Microbials and evoke^AG. 2023 speaker, is ahead of the curve – with proven biological inputs that drastically reduce a crop’s carbon footprint and deliver a host of production outcomes for farmers.
