Australian Hydrothermal

With spiking inflation, a continuing global pandemic, and war in Europe, fertiliser prices have risen dramatically over the past few years, putting significant strain on Australian farmers, and contributing to an overall increase in food prices, which affects all Australians. Conventional fertilisers are not only exposed to shocks in the global supply chain, but also directly contribute to climate change and environmental degradation, as they are manufactured using natural gas and mined mineral phosphate. At Australian Hydrothermal, we believe that we have a solution to both these problems and more, using our revolutionary technology of Hydrothermal Carbonisation. Using only heat, pressure, and water, we can convert any wet organic matter, including sewerage and agricultural wastes, into a nutrient-rich broth that can be used as a sustainable, cost-effective liquid fertiliser, and an energy enriched char that can be used as a source of carbon-neutral electricity, as well as other uses such as carbon sequestration, cement aggregate, soil amendment and others. Because our hydrothermal technology allows us to convert negative-value wastes into high-value products, we are able to produce fertilisers at a much lower cost than conventional producers, while also maintaining greater price stability, shielding farmers from price shocks, and saving them money.
