Through the use of Kreotec, Thinkbio is working with growers around the world to provide an alternative and sustainble form of nitrogen required for plant growth which is delivered through the use of bacteria. The delivery of nitrogen through Kreotec, allows growers to reduce their reliance on synthetic fertilizers thereby making a positive contribution to reducing global emissions, improving soil health and reducing nitrate leaching into ground and surface water. Growers receive the benefits directly of using Kreotec through the increase in yield and improvements in soil health. Other benefits to growers are the green credentials gained by the quantifiable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions associated with use of Kreotec. This is particularly important for growers who need to record and report on their sustainability credentials to regulator officials, stakeholders in the food supply chain and or investors. Evidence of improved sustainability performance for growers is increasingly adding to market access and the potential to receive pricing premiums.
