Less than 10% of meat trimmings worldwide are graded via x-ray machines. The rest is graded visually (by humans) that have a margin of error between 10-15%. Meat producers and processors can now measure and grade all trimmings just with a click of a button on a smartphone, allowing the digitalisation and traceability of their entire trimmings production, increasing food safety and reducing meat waste.

Our Trimming solution, which uses off the shelf-cameras and smartphone cameras, provides a grading accuracy of up to 98%
in real-time. It captures data, providing historical insight, visibility and traceability for meat processors.
Research shows that in Australia there are more than 15 different methods for measuring the percentage of fat on beef trimmings—but none like UBI. With UBI, the industry can increase revenue by guaranteeing consistent product quality, drive production costs down by eliminating the need to over-buffer and reduce the risk of costly claims.
The Marbling solution allows measuring either on the forequarter or hindquarter and documents the marbling scores in real-time with a unique flexibility in the market. It instantly shows the ribeye area, IMF and total fat allow obtaining the yield and marbling score in real-time.
Our vision is to reach a critical mass in our industry and have all meat processing plants adopt our grading platform. We want to be at the heart of saving wasted meat and empowering all processing plants, big and small, with an easy-to-use and affordable technology that guarantees consistent meat quality.
