Global solutions to local challenges

Demo Day

To ensure global agrifood startups are able to continue to build their networks, and connections into the Australian and New Zealand market we will be hosting an online demo day two-weeks post evokeAG. Sydney 2022.

The Global Solutions Demo Day will provide a platform for international agrifood tech startups/scaleups and innovators to connect to the evokeAG. audience and facilitate the opportunity for these global innovative founders to connect directly to Australian and New Zealand investors, producers and the agricultural community.

Through a consultation phase, evokeAG. identified six challenges that the local agrifood industry in Australia is currently facing that could use a global technology solution.

Up to six international innovative businesses whose technology is providing a solution to one or more of these challenges will be able to apply to pitch at the Demo Day to be held online on Wednesday, 30 March 2022.

Applications are now open and close Friday, 18 February 2022 at 11.59pm AEDT.

Who can apply?

  1. Must be a registered business (excluding Australia)

  2. Technology or innovation must be providing a solution to one of the six identified challenge areas

  3. Technology or innovation must be ready to scale into the Australian market or has the potential to

  4. Product must be Technology Readiness Level of 8-9

  5. Must have previously raised funding.


Businesses who wish to apply for the Global Demo Day must have a solution to one or more of the following challenges.


Automated pollination, warning systems for bushfires, bushfire recovery.

Meat exporting and shipping solutions

Freezing technology that allows meat products to be shipped in larger quantities over longer distances.

Geospatial accuracy

Technologies that allow geospatial imaging to be more accurate to support things like construction and automation [in market or in concept].

Exporting and shipping solutions

Technology or service providers that allow best use of shipping container volume to maximise container use and lowers shipping costs .

Lean farming

Lean farming platforms or solution providers; data, design, lean design principles to increase on-farm efficiency.

Biosecurity technologies

Technologies to prevent, respond to and monitor local biosecurity scenarios, as well as supporting export/import biosecurity scenarios. These technologies may include decontamination processes, imaging, pest or contaminate detection, wearable devices, remote monitoring and sensors.
