Adoption driven agrifood solutions

Startup Network

The evokeAG. Startup Network aims to build the customer networks and capability of Australian agrifood tech startups and to support adoption of new technology on-farm, and connect farmers to new technologies.

The program is a collaboration between evokeAG. and AgriStart, and builds on the knowledge base provided during the evokeAG. Grassroots Series. Featuring interactive online webinars and networking events, and focusing on agrifood tech adoption and connecting key players across the agrifood supply chain.

Nine Australian agritech founders have been chosen to participate in the program and will receive mentorship from industry experts, and attend our workshops and the Pitch & Networking Dinner in the heart of the Riverina, Wagga Wagga, NSW, the home of AgriFutures Australia.

Objectives

Event program

Producer technology uptake workshop

We are offering 12 farmers the opportunity to participate in a Producer Technology Uptake Workshop facilitated by Rural Edge from 9.00am - 2.00pm on Tuesday, 20 July in Wagga. The workshop will provide farmers who have identified a problem on-farm, to discuss technology solutions and work with the facilitators to develop a technology implementation plan.

The workshop will also be attended by the nine founders of the Startup Network cohort, who will learn the adoption conversation from the farmers perspective and will also feature interactive components for both the farmers and startups.

Tickets are only $60 to attend the Workshop, Pitch & Networking Dinner.

Due to the COVID-19 situation developing in NSW, this event has been postponed. A new date will be confirmed soon.

Pitch and Networking Dinner

Our nine Startup Network founders will present to an audience of local farmers, investors and industry experts on their agrifood tech solution during a pitch held from 4.30pm - 6.30pm at the Riverina Playhouse. The pitch will focus on showcasing how their product can save farmers time and money, whilst increasing productivity and showcase return on investment.

Following on from the Startup Network Showcase will be a Networking Dinner at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, where the founders would enjoy the opportunity to receive feedback and networking.

Tickets for the Pitch & Networking Dinner are $40.

Due to the COVID-19 situation developing in NSW, this event has been postponed. A new date will be confirmed soon.
